How To Add App To Samsung Pass

Step 1: Get a vaccination credential

If a venue or other organization is using IBM® Digital Health Pass¹, they will direct you to obtain a QR code that is a "COVID-19 vaccination credential". This credential can only be from SMART® Health Card, Good Health Pass or IBM Digital Health Pass.

Step 2: Download the IBM Digital Health Pass Wallet

After you receive your QR code (the digital vaccination credential), download the IBM Digital Health Pass Wallet from the Google Play store.

Step 3: Add the QR code to the IBM Wallet and to Samsung Pay

Add your QR code to the IBM Digital Health Pass Wallet. Then click on the "Samsung Pay" button to add your COVID-19 vaccination record to Samsung Pay, then click "OK" on the confirmation screen.

Step 2

Download the CommonHealth app from the Google Play store.

Step 3

Follow the instructions in the CommonHealth app or on the CommonHealth SMART Health Card page to load your COVID-19 vaccine record.

Step 4

Once you have loaded your COVID-19 vaccine record in the CommonHealth app, within your vaccination record, click on the "Samsung Pay" button to add your vaccine record to Samsung Pay, then click "OK" on the confirmation screen.

From the Samsung Pay app home screen, find the "COVID-19 Vaccine pass" button and click on the QR code symbol next to it.

Swipe up from your phone's home screen into the Samsung Pay tab and your digital vaccine record will be a card in the carousel. Click on the "Use card" button to bring up your vaccine record.
