What Samsung App Lets Me Monitor My Home Thru My Smart Tv Camera

Set up SmartThings on your Smart TV

You finally sit down on the couch after a long day and just when you're about to put on a movie, you realize you left the kitchen lights on. There's no need to get up from that comfortable spot. Use SmartThings to control connected devices from your living room with your TV. With the SmartThings dashboard, you can monitor and control all of your SmartThings devices for a totally connected home.

Note: SmartThings functionality is the same across all supported models and is available on most newer Samsung Smart TVs.

Before you can use or control all your smart devices, you have to set up the SmartThings app on your TV.

First, make sure you have SmartThings downloaded on your phone and that you've added all your devices. If SmartThings is not already installed on your TV, select APPS, and then search for it using the search bar. Select Install and review any on-screen instructions.

Search for SmartThings on your Samsung TV

SmartThings is available on your phone and many other devices, but what if your phone's all the way across the room? No worries! You can use your TV.

Press the Home button on your remote, and then navigate to and openSmartThings. If needed, sign into your Samsung account.

The smart devices you'd added to the SmartThings account on your phone will appear. You can add, view, monitor, and control them right from the TV. Use your remote to select a device to check its status or perform an action. For example, you can turn connected lights on or off. You can even run scenes if you have them set up.

If you'd like to check if your TV supports SmartThings, you can do so right from the SmartThings app.

On your phone or tablet, navigate to and open the SmartThings app.
Tap Add (the plus icon), and then tap Device.
Tap theBy brand tab, and then tap Samsung.
Tap TV, and then tap Supported devices. Swipe through the list of TVs to find your model. If it's there, just tap it, and the connection process will begin.
